SMC Trading Strategy Framework
Learn our SMC Trading Strategy in a step-by-step course where we break down each concept and framework, leaving you will a complete strategy that can be used across any timeframe and chart.
Course Introduction
What is our trading Strategy?
Our strategy focuses on first identifying which direction the market is currently favouring on the Daily timeframe. We call this a 'Daily Bias'.
When we have our Daily Bias, we then move down to the 4 Hour/1 Hour timeframe and wait for price to hit a 4 Hour/1 Hour Key Level. If the market reverses after hitting the Key Level, this offers us a potential setup for a trade.
We can then move down to the 15 Minute/5 Minute chart to find the confirmation for our trade idea, allowing us to enter our trade.
We will break down each concept we need to understand within the lessons in this course, providing a step-by-step guide for our analysis process from start to finish.
Lesson 1
Key Levels
Key Levels are where large amounts of liquidity (unfilled orders) sit, which is they are targeted by Smart Money in order to fill their large trades.
When a Key Level is hit, it usually creates a large reaction that can typically result in a reversal move.
We use the reaction moves from Key Levels for framing trade setups.
Lesson 2
Finding the Draw on Liquidity (DOL) target
One of the core fundamentals of SMC is the theory that price is always delivering from one liquidity pool, to another liquidity pool.
This means that once a liquidity level/area has been hit, it will then target a new level/area.
The Draw on Liquidity (DOL) refers to the current level/area that we believe the market is targeting.
Lesson 3
Trading Reversals and Expansions
The easiest way to form a directional bias is to determine whether we are currently in a Reversal Phase or an Expansion Phase.
If we can determine what phase the market is currently in, it gives us a massive edge as to how we can expect the next candle to form.
Lesson 4
Expansion Candle (Continuation Formation)
We use Expansions Candles as a continuation signal, meaning when an Expansion Candle is created, we usually expect the next candle to reflect the same directional bias.
Lesson 5
CRT Candle (Reversal Formation)
Lesson 6
Engulfing Candle (Reversal Formation)
Lesson 7
